David Carter: ‘3 Cups of Coffee’ & ‘Ashland’s Field of Dreams’

• Carter’s newest film goes back to his love of baseball, with an Ashland baseball trilogy about three local players who has a brief stay in the major leagues. These films are much more than a simple narration of timelines and statistics, as they take the audience into the heart and soul of the three men who had but a “cup of coffee” in the majors.
• In 2009, the baseball documentary, Ashland’s Field of Dreams, became one of the very first films to be shown at The Paramount Arts Center since the Paramount Theater closed in 1971.
