Shawn Weston
as Percy Jackson
Shawn makes his 16th appearance on the Paramount stage. Shawn was honored to be selected three times to attend Kristin Chenoweth’s Broadway Bootcamp and to be in the documentary 1300 Miles to Broadway, directed by Kenny Ortega. Shawn is also Logan in Netflix’s Cobra Kai (seasons 3-6). He was Drosselmeyer in the 2024 Ashland Youth Ballet production of The Nutcracker. Shawn performed onstage at Dollywood for two Christmas seasons. He has performed with the KY Opry Jr. Pros. He was in the 2023 Governor’s School for the Arts, Musical Theatre program. Shawn is a senior at Lawrence County High School, where he sings with the Honors Choir. Shawn is also a guitarist and pianist.

Nevaeh Takahashi
as Anabeth Chase
Nevaeh is so excited to be back performing with her Paramount family! Nevaeh is from Portsmouth, Ohio; a Junior attending Glenwood High School located in New Boston, Ohio. Nevaeh is also a College Credit Plus student at Shawnee State University. The Lightning Thief will be Nevaeh’s 16th show with the Paramount Players. You may have seen her in previous shows with the Players such as High School Musical 1 & 2 JR (Gabriella Montez), Matilda (Alice), Aladdin JR (Jasmine), Puffs (Megan Jones), and White Christmas (Ensemble). Nevaeh also performs with PAAC in Portsmouth, Ohio where she has been in shows such as, Descendants (Evie) and Legally Blonde (Vivienne Kensington). The Lightning Thief is a show that has been on Nevaeh’s bucket list since the 4th grade, she would like to thank Matt and Rick for this incredible opportunity to perform with her favorite people, her lovely boyfriend, Abe Arnold (who is Hades in this show!) for loving and supporting her endlessly, her family, friends, and teachers for supporting her theatrical journey, and the Lord for His endless blessings. Alec is proud to perform in his 5th show with the Paramount Players, in The Lightning Thief! Alec goes to Ashland Middle School, where he is in 8th Grade. At AMS he participates in choir and Academic Team! You may have seen Alec in these previous Paramount Players shows such as, Aristocats Kids as Thomas O’Malley, Mean Girls Jr. as Glenn Cocco, and Aladdin Jr. in the Ensemble. He would like to thank his mom, dad, and stepmom for always letting him do shows! He would also like to thank Matt Hammond for giving him this opportunity! Have an amazing time at the show!

Rebecca is thrilled to be able to join the Paramount Players for another production, and is thrilled to get to share the stage again with both of her girls AND her husband! She has appeared in previous Player’s productions such as Matilda as Mrs. Phelps, Descendants as Cruella, A Christmas Story The Musical as Mother, and White Christmas as Martha. A wife to Shonte’ and Mom to Javon, Victoria, Isabella, and Donovan in the real world, she loves cooking, gardening, drinking coffee, and making random goofy videos for social media outside of her time on the stage. She wants to remind you that you are loved and valued, and sincerely hopes that you handle all statue-making DIY kits carefully (trust).

After a longer than he would have liked stent away from the stage, Tyler is thrilled to be home at the Paramount. Though interplanetary toaster sales were an adventure, he always felt the siren call of the Paramount calling him back. His Players credits include Legally Blonde, Back to the 80’s, The Sound of Music, and even all the way back to Hairspray. *Checks notes* He’s STILL around?!

Mark Baker
as Mr. Brunner AKA Chiron
Mark is so excited to be back on the Paramount stage again playing Mr. Brunner/Chiron. Mark was last seen onstage as Vlad Popov in Anastasia. Past roles with The Players include, The Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show, Marley in A Christmas Carol, The Narrator /Mysterious Old Man in Into the Woods, Harry in Mamma Mia, George Banks in Mary Poppins, Van Helsing in Dracula, Mr. Mushnick in The Little Shop of Horrors, Jim in All Shook Up, Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, Herr Schultz in Cabaret, and Grimsby in The Little Mermaid. Mark has performed with various theatre companies for over 20 years. Past shows include Kiss Me, Kate (Fred Graham/Petruchio), Sweeney Todd (Sweeney), The Secret Garden (Archibald)), Camelot (King Arthur), Bat Boy (Dr. Parker), Noises Off (Fredrick), and Harvey (Dr. Chumley). Mark is from Flatwoods, KY and works as a Pharmacy Technician at UK/Kings Daughters Medical Center, as well as Choir Director for Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church in Barboursville, WV.

Charlotte is so excited to be in their 11th show here at The Paramount! They have been Sargent Tibbs and Nana in 101 Dalmatians Jr, Judge Yertle the Turtle in Suessical Jr, Razoul in Aladdin Jr, Teary Girl in Mean Girls Jr, Edgar the Butler in Aristocats, and last but certainly not least, The Narrator in Puffs Jr. They go to Paul Blazer High School (Year 2028). Addison Conley is 18 years old and a senior at Boyd County High School. She has been a Paramount Player since 2019. Outside of theatre she is an avid musician and plans to go to college to pursue a career in music. Addison is very excited to be a part of this production, she’s loved being introduced to the world of Percy Jackson. She hopes you enjoy this musical adventure and have as much fun watching it as she does performing it.

Elijah is thrilled to be back onstage with The Paramount Players. This is Elijah’s 7th show at The Paramount. His favorite role to date has been Flounder in The Little Mermaid. Elijah is grateful for all he has learned and all the friends he has made.

Addison is 14 years old, and an 8th grader at Boyd County Middle school. This will be her 4th Paramount Players Production. She has been with Paramount since she was 10 years old. Starting out with Jr. camps and now being able to create amazing productions. Addison has always loved being on stage. From taking baby dance classes at age 3, to singing the National Anthem at a high school basketball game. She has always taken pride in the arts. She is more than ecstatic to perform as Thalia in The Lighting Thief.

Shonte’ is excited to get to make an appearance on the stage as a character for the first time! A professional drummer/percussionist, he has appeared in the pit for many productions with many different companies, including Guys and Dolls and West Side Story. Holding a Bachelor of Music Performance degree from MSU, he loves to serve in church, play front yard sports with his kids, and travel. He hopes you enjoy the show and may you keep your groove!

Eden is a talented young performer who’s been a valuable part of the ensemble in previous productions such as Frozen Jr., Junie B. Jones, High School Musical Jr. 1 & 2, Matilda The Musical, Aladdin Jr., and Mean Girls Jr. In The Lightening Thief, she continues to contribute her dedication and enthusiasm, adding depth and magic to every scene. Watch her shine in the ensemble, making each moment unforgettable!

Braxton is excited to be back on stage again in his fourth Paramount Players show. He is 11 years old and a fifth grader at Greysbranch Elementary. Percy Jackson is one of his favorite book series he has read! He is grateful to portray “young Grover” in a flashback scene. He would like to thank his Mom, Dad, and everyone who continues to support him in the arts.

Colbie Daniels
Ensemble
Colbie is 12 years old and a homeschooled 6th grader. She is active in her youth group at Ashland First UMC while her favorite hobbies include singing, dancing, crocheting and crafting. Colbie has performed with Huntington Area Regional Theatre in Finding Nemo Jr. and Broadway Revue: Pure Imagination, and with Alchemy Theatre in Winnie the Pooh’s Christmas Tail. She is excited to be performing in her first show with Paramount Players.

Rebecca has been involved with drama for about 7 years. She has participated in Theatre Works with Aspire, two previous Paramount Players productions, and has most recently played key roles in Book Women, Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Cheerleaders vs Aliens with Alchemy Theatre. When not on the stage, you’ll find her shooting archery or enjoying her art. She is really excited about performing one of her favorite book series and hopes you enjoy the show.

Sophia Abshire

Sophia has been involved with drama for about 5 years. She has participated in Theatre Works with Aspire, three previous Paramount summer camp productions, and has most recently played key roles in Book Women, Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Cheerleaders vs Aliens with Alchemy Theatre. When not on the stage, you’ll find her running or reading. She is a big Percy Jackson fan and really excited to share this story with you.

Isabella Revely

Isabella is excited to be able to return to the stage in this production! Having appeared in other Paramount Players productions (Matilda-Hortensia; Willy Wonka Jr., Descendants, and A Christmas Story The Musical among others), she is happy to be able to participate in this production as well. A middle school student, she loves academic team, ballet, and creating various kinds of art outside of the stage. She hopes you enjoy the show and encourages you to never hide lightning bolts. Ever.

Lucy Swim

Lucy is excited to be returning to the stage in The Lightening Thief. This will be her 8th production with the Paramount Players, and one of her all-time favorite stories. In Lucy’s downtime, she enjoys drawing, archery, gymnastics, and playing the drums. Lucy is excited to bring this show to life alongside her best friend, Alice, who both so very, dearly love the world of Mythology! She would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her love of the arts. She hopes you all enjoy your time at Camp Half-Blood!

Roslyn Roark

Roslyn is a young actress with a growing list of stage credits, including Shrek Jr., Frozen Jr., Junie B. Jones, High School Musical Jr. 1&2, The Descendants, and Mean Girls Jr. She’s currently a part of the ensemble in The Lightening Thief, where her dedication and enthusiasm for theater shine through.
